VOC Recovery Facilities
Based on multiple technologies we have cultivated through construction of VOC recovery facilities, we are able to propose a system meeting the air volume and concentration.
Nakagawa Bussan Co., Ltd. has oil terminals mainly in Aichi Pref, where its headquarters are located, and is a company with a logistics network that includes its own tanker trucks, tanker ships, and gas stations.
When gasoline is shipped from the oil terminal, it is filled into tanker trucks, etc., but in the process, a large amount of gasoline vapor is released into the atmosphere. Nakagawa Bussan Co., Ltd. owns recovery unit, VRU that recovers gasoline vapor and turns it back into liquid gasoline to be filled into tanker trucks.
This project is part of Cosmo's ongoing efforts to build new, expanded, and renovate oil terminals. The company had previously been contracted to do this, but as the existing VRU was aging, our company received an order to design, manufacture and construct the new equipment.
The unit consists of a recovery tower, an adsorption tower, a vacuum pump and a gasoline supply/recovery pump.
The VRU we delivered was manufactured by System Engineering Services Co., Ltd., and is characterized by its use of a hydrophobic adsorbent (silica gel). This adsorbent has the advantage of being highly safe, with no risk of explosion or heat generation even when processing gasoline vapor. In addition, the adsorbent has a five-year manufacturer's warranty and has a proven track record of lasting more than 10 years, which helps keep maintenance costs down.
